I decided to learn something new today- print and cut on my Silhouette Cameo.

There are plenty of tutorials out there – some are actually pretty good- but I had to go through a few before I figured stuff out.

Anyway, after a few issues, I finally printed and cut out some super cute VW bus images!

I used printer paper so my mess ups wouldn’t use up my cardstock. As a result, these cuties are perfect for my planner!

Here’s how it went once I got it going:

Aren’t they adorable?? I found them in the Silhouette store. It’s called “camper van tags” and was .99 today.  My Silhouette got one first. Here’s how I put the adhesive on them. I love my Xyron! And after all these years wondering what to put on my Mac, these are perfect! They make me smile. I think this could be the start of something super fun!
Thanks for stopping by! God bless.

What a week this has been! I began on Sunday, meeting with a super sweet lady who loves Stampin’ Up as much as I do, then on Monday I signed up a wonderful friend to be on my Stampin’ Up team. I received a phone call tonight from my new (Sunday) friend and she is going to sign up as well! That makes my downline number FIVE! I am so excited! They are all talented demonstrators and I am just thrilled to be a part of this amazing group of women.

I’ll spend all next week making sure I’m up on all the latest so I can encourage my downline to succeed in their dreams. What a gift God has given me. I do not understand the timing, and I won’t question it… I’m just incredibly, wholeheartedly blessed.

To celebrate, I made this video! LOL! Please subscribe to my channel… it’s brand new and I promise to keep it fun and informative! God bless!

I love Facebook. Why? Well, first of all it helps me to know the prayer needs of others. Second to that, I get to know when neat things are happening with my kids – like the garden that my son The Boy and his wife Emily are planning.

The post showed them tilling the soil. I knew I had to do something to surprise and encourage them, so I whipped out my Cricut machine and made these:

I will add plant stakes to them so they can stand the signs in their garden. I think my grandLittles will enjoy the fun colors and shapes too!
Here’s how they came together:

20140323-201624.jpg
First, I used Cricut Craft Room to select designs from the Cricut cartridge Freshly Picked . Once I selected the various components, I arranged them on the virtual mat, wrote down the sizes and began cutting.
It wasn’t too difficult to choose colors- earthy, garden colors worked out just fine.

A bit of trimming came next.

Some 2-way glue and a bit of placing elements together came next:

Now it was time to laminate:

I made sure to round the corners when I cut them apart since there will be some little hands in the garden!

Once finished, I took them all outside to introduce them to their natural habitat! Here they are again:

I have a few more to make but thought I’d share now just in case I forget to before I mail them.

My GrandLittle turns four today and is he ever the super hero fan! I’m pretty sure he is the “real” Spider-Man – among others, such as Batman, Captain America, etc.
So as we celebrate Asher today, I decided to make this card for him.

20130129-151557.jpg
Of course, there is a story to go with it… It seems that Bear is in training to be a super hero and, well, Spidey got the best of him! As a result, Bear is all tangled up in Spidey’s web.
The video version is right here!
Here’s what I used to make this super cute card:
Action Wobble Springs (I LOVE creating with these!), Stampin Up! (SU) cardstock, SU Apothecary Accents Framelits, SU Big Shot embossing machine, SU Cloudy Day embossing folder, SU Cherry Cobbler heat embossing powder, SU Tombow adhesive, SU Happiest Birthday Wishes clear mount stamps, SU Baker’s Twine, Cricut die cutting machine, Cricut Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and I upcycled an image of Spider-Man by cutting it from some packaging.

20130129-152334.jpg
I used VersaMark ink to stamp my sentiment and heat embossed the powder. You can see the raised, shiny effect that heat embossing provides. I love to use this method. It is fascinating to see it change from powder to finished image!

20130129-153124.jpg

20130129-153133.jpg
I cut the sentiment by using Stampin’ Up’s Apothecary Accents Framelits, but I left one edge straight so I could hook it on the card by a tab.

20130129-153428.jpg
This is how I store my Framelits- there is a magnetic sheet that holds the metal dies in place.

20130129-153536.jpg

20130129-153547.jpg
Here’s the Cricut cartridge I used

20130129-153646.jpg

Whew! That’s a lot of info! But what a fun card- my GrandLittle has an awesome sense of humor, so I know he will crack up when he sees this!
Y’all have a blessed day, and thanks for visiting!
God bless,
Kathy Bo

Do you ever make a list of things to do, then get all happy when you can check some things off that list? Well, that’s what happened today. I have been wanting to make some little 3X3 cards for my neighbor. She is a realtor and I figured she would enjoy having some handmade thank you notes and sweet greetings to share with clients. I wanted to do something nice for her, especially since she is just so giving of her knowledge and expertise! Though we have not yet listed our house, she is always so helpful by replying to my texts when I’m asking stuff like should we put hardwood floors in the kitchen!

So anyway, I’ve had it on my list for a few weeks and today I had time to design some cards for this nice lady. There are six, with envelopes. Here they are:

The “Hey There” stamp is a single, and exclusive to the Paper Pumpkin! This is the new subscription I mentioned earlier. If you’d like to sign up, please add me as your demonstrator when it asks. click here for Paper Pumpkin!

The “Thanks so much” stamp is part of the new Oh Hello set found here!

It’s such a cute set- I love these cheery stamps!

20130122-225125.jpg

Papers used are whisper white cardstock and the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper. Look at all the super cute papers in this collection!

20130122-225157.jpg

There are more items such as the inks, ribbons and brads – all found here, in the Spring Catalog! Know what I love more than checking off a “to-do”? Adding sweet folks like you to my team! Just click here to find out how to get in on the fun! I love it, you will too!

Will I wake up in the morning with an email saying you’re on my team? I sure hope so!

That’s it for today!

God bless!
