Last year my doctor told me to create a routine in order to reduce stress. My evening routine is so pleasant that I find myself looking forward to that time all day. It is the time when I put on my nightgown, stretch out in my recliner, pick up my knitting and relax with my sweet little Boston Terrier Hoover, lying on my legs.

He is so accustomed to our “quality” time that he waits for me to get settled, looks across at the shabby chic quilt I made, watches as I drape it over my legs, then he jumps up and snuggles in. I took this photo tonight as he was lying with me in my chair.

Just as sure as I am typing this, I know for a fact that God sent this little angel to comfort me. He came into my life at the most perfect time and I love him dearly.

I thank God for the sweet wonders of life and the compassion and gentleness of this little dog who loves me unconditionally.

My “official” review of the Knit Kit:

I love it. At $20 it was pricey but the size of it, larger than the palm of my hand, makes it easy to find in my bag, with everything I need in one tool, and the clicker… ohhh the clicker… for me, it was almost worth it just to be able to count off each row without looking for that little thing that takes two hands to use. So I give it 5 stars out of five for functionality, 3.5 stars on price.

My price suggestion for this item in this day of cool gadgetry: $12 to $15.

This is a new item my friend Angela shared with me. Check out the website here!

I went to the site and found a store in Georgia that I could order from. I ordered mine from The Whole Nine Yarns in Woodstock.

When it came, it looked like a gift! I love that! Wrapped in cute paper, I could have thought, “hey, this is a surprise!” But I paid for it, so I knew… still, it was fun to open!

Here’s their card:

Here’s the kit AND a thank you note!
Here’s what it does:

It has a tape measure that comes out looking like a fish with a tongue!

A crochet needle for those dropped stitches tucked into the side:

A counter on top… push a button to count stitches, then turn a dial to reset!

Open the back for folded scissors, point covers and stitch markers! All PINK! Yippee!

This is a neat kit, now I’m going to actually use it. I think it was a bit pricey but it might prove otherwise… will post on that later. The Whole Nine Yarns, however, gets my vote for best service, ever!
