I am so excited when my Paper Pumpkin surprise arrives in the mail each week! Even better is when I can use part of the kit to create something entirely different! The Paper Pumpkin for April 2015 features the base that this sweet greeting is built upon. That kraft sleeve is the Paper Pumpkin part. All other goodies are from the 2014-2015 Stampin’ Up annual catalog or the 2015 Occasions Catalog.

Y’all know how much I love vintage (as does Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin’ Up!), so I couldn’t wait to put all these beautiful elements together. image

And the fact that there is not a specific sentiment means this beauty can be personalized for any occasion.

As far as supplies are concerned, I had them all listed here with links to my store, but there was a glitch and I lost all of the text in this post! So sad when that happens!  I will gather those items and list again, complete with links. Meanwhile, visit my store here!

Thanks for stopping by! God bless.

This card is a go-to favorite design of mine so I decided to share it for the Scrap it Girl June Challenge: Things With Wings. 20140601-151046-54646715.jpg I love it so much! It uses some of my favorite tools and supplies. Here is my card: 20140601-151204-54724975.jpg And a few close-ups: 20140601-151234-54754431.jpg 20140601-151231-54751917.jpg 20140601-151230-54750707.jpg 20140601-151233-54753107.jpg See why it’s a favorite? And it’s great for most sentiments- get well, happy birthday, sympathy, etc. Here are some of the products I used: (all from Stampin’ Up! Just click my “contact” button to email for details on ordering!) 20140601-151410-54850097.jpg The butterfly stamp is called Swallowtail. It’s a large stamp that can be used in a variety of techniques.

Another stamp set is Itty Bitty Banners I used my Big Shot (this thing is FABULOUS!) with Bitty Banners Framelits and Pretty Print embossing folder (retired item).

To achieve the shiny gold effect, I used Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder, VersaMark stamp pad and (another favorite) my Heat Tool and the cute little Embossing Buddy (not pictured… he was being shy)

My ribbon – OHHHH. I LOVE THIS RIBBON! is: 1/2″ Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.

Choose inks and cardstock colors to achieve the look you want!

So that’s my share- want to get in on the challenge? All the deets are here: Scrap it Girl! and yes! There’s a prize! Thanks for stopping by! God bless! Kathy Bo

I’m always excited for the Scrap It Girl Favorite Things Friday! It gives me a challenge to create something fun.

20140508-221929.jpg
Today I’m blogging from my tiny crafting corner in my RV, somewhere on the east coast just steps away from a long pier where manatees and dolphins frolic in the sea. It’s a sweet spot, if only for a while, then it’s back to reality!
Speaking of reality, let’s get back to it!
This Friday’s assignment is to use our favorite embossing folder.
Mine is Beautifully Baroque from Stampin’ Up!

20140508-222109.jpg
It adds such elegance to a card.
I used it with Graphic 45 paper, the Place in Time collection.
Here’s my finished card.

Hope you enjoy it and maybe get a bit of inspiration to join the fun! If so, just click HERE and add your creation!
Thanks for stopping by, be blessed!

The Design Team at Scrap It Girl has a fun challenge: choose our favorite journal, calendar or notebook for the Favorite Things Friday Challenge.
Was this ever easy for me! I love this mixed media travel journal that I actually made a few years ago on a scrapbooking trip.

20140206-224008.jpg
It’s my favorite.
I have a lot of great memories creating this too. I met new friends and also learned new techniques.
My absolutely most favorite page is this one, where the kid leather glove (an estate sale find) holds tickets.

Here are more pages:

And a closeup of the cover. Super cool, techniques and elements, all thanks to a little scrapbooking trip.

Hearts, hearts and more hearts! That’s my thing all year long, so when the fabulous Scrap It Girl gave this challenge to those of us on the Design Team, I was just thrilled to share this card:

Be my Valentine!

Be my Valentine!

You can see this card in the previous post but now I can share the details!
I created this simple but sweet card with products from Stampin’ Up, and held a workshop where several ladies enjoyed making it. Here are some of them “loving” the creative process: image
What do I love most about this card? Well, hearts are my “thing” all year long – I have a heart on my pillow so when we change pillowcases I know which one is mine, I draw a heart on my take out cup or leftover box and I even have a heart on my toothbrush! It’s not so much about “mine” as it is that hearts just make me happy! So of course I ❤️ the heart!

Here’s what I used to create the card (and it’s a standard A2, which is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2″ card.)
Stampin’ Up:
Card stock: natural, real red
Stamps: the heart came from the Best of series: Best of Love
the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen
Ink: real red
Embossing folder: Beautifully Baroque
Sizzix Bigz Die: Top Note
Ribbon: Very Vanilla 1/2″ seam binding ribbon

Look for these items in my Stampin’ Up store

And if you LOVE hearts like I do, or if you just want to enjoy a fun challenge, play along here and you may receive something sweet!

Thanks so much for stopping by! God bless!
