Here are some sweet burp cloths for my friend’s precious newborn baby girl. Julia Grace came into her mom and dad’s life on May 21, and let me tell you, she is just adorable! I got to hold her today and I didn’t want to put her down!

I made these for little Julia, surely thinking she needed more PINK! Can any of us get enough pink? I sure can’t!

I first made a pattern out of scrap paper, then cut each panel out. You can cut several at a time if you choose… I’d stick with no more than four layers with the rotary cutter.

Use a 6 ply cotton diaper. I buy mine online at Target.

The edge of these diapers are uneven, so it is important to press, pin, sew slowly, and get it jusssstttt to the edge.
A nice, crisp edge.
Here are other fabrics I used.

I gotta tell ya, this is NOT my favorite one… I almost didn’t give it to my friend because it is really not snazzy at all… I gave strict instructions they are not allowed to say who made it, so you have to keep it a secret too!

The pink solid is super soft flannel and the letters are made with just a soft baby fabric. I sure wish it had turned out the way I envisioned it, but live and learn, as my mama always said!

They do look sweet all stacked up… and yes, I’m hiding the funky one on the bottom!
